2023-2024 BHS WRESTLING SEASON INFORMATION

To join the BHS Wrestling program, athletes must complete the following before  participation...

1-Complete Rank One Profile  and upload Sports Physical to Rank One Profile.

2-Complete 2023-24 BHS Wrestling Registration

Registration Fee: $400
Fee includes Wrestler Competition Package:
Custom Sublimated Fight Shorts, Singlet, Warmup Top, & Polo.
Banquet, competition fees, and operational expenses
Parent Car Magnet

Payment Options for Registration Fee:
Payment Option #1:  Pay in Full.
Submit 100% Player Package fee  via Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or checking account.

Payment Option #2:  Pay in two installments.
Payment #1 50% due at time of registration. 
Payment #2 50% due  30 days after 1st installment.

NOTE: Each Family whose player Registration Fee is paid in full by Oct 23 will receive one Custom Fan Shirt

to be delivered after production.

Practice Schedule:
Men's & Women's season begins on Oct 23. Practice block is Monday-Friday 2:30pm-4:30pm.  *Teams will rotate weight room/wrestling room days, have separate start times, and practice will end earlier as season progresses

Additional Required Equipment:
The following equipment is required for practice and competition  1-Headgear 2-Wrestling shoes 3- Mouthpiece (only if  wrestler has braces). *Equipment is needed by the first practice.

Competition Schedule:
The first competition date is Nov 11.  Wrestlers should expect to compete at least once a week during regular season. Men's & Women's Events Found under Calendar Tab

Pre Season Conditioning:
Oct 16-19   Wrestling is a demanding sport. Attendance is expected in order to ensure optimal performance and athlete safety with the exception of students still participating in a fall sport. Must have Rank One Profile completed to Participate. Meet in Gold Gym 2:30-3:45

Important Dates:
Oct 21st 1:00pm @ BHS. Weight Certification is Required by GHSA and must be completed to participate in competition.  Certification is in place to determine eligible weight classes, monitor weigh ins, and prevent negative weight practices.

Oct 31st 2:30pm @BHS Weight Certification #2

Nov 5 Parent Meeting 4:00-6:30pm Gold Gym Live Maroon & Gold Wrestle offs, Cookout, Parent Meeting.

Nov 11 Season Opener @ Home. The Bronco Stampede 9th, JV, & V

Attendance:
All absences should be communicated to head coach via guardian. Absence from practice is detrimental to individual development and team performance. Unexcused absences are not acceptable and can result in dismissal from program.

TEAM COMMUNICATION

1- Join our E-mail contact list by registering for a season or complete contact/interest form outside of season. Confirm working email address for guardian and wrestler to receive updates for BHS Wrestling. E-mail is used frequently during season for weekly schedule, event information, attachments, etc.

Brookwood Wrestling

The Brookwood wrestling program takes great pride in developing student athletes and has a long standing tradition of academic and athletic excellence. Brookwood High School is located in Gwinnett County GA  and is home of the Broncos. Brookwood offers wrestling programs for K-12th grade. The Bronco Wrestling Club is our youth season feeder program. The BWC offers year round training for all members (Folkstyle, Freestyle, Greco-Roman) The BWC is sanctioned by USA Wrestling/Team Georgia and our High School program is governed by Georgia High School Association
